I love this site.

The Adult Swim reference is funny because they purposely created a gramatical error in a sentence telling you they are idiots. This is Futurama were talking about, which BTW rocks and should be brought back.

It is funny if your English is good and you have a dry sense of humor and enough time on your hands to look for this kind of thing. I bet I have seen the episode a hundred times and never caught that, the quote always struck me as hilarious, now it becomes all the funnier. That is Matt Groening's humor for you. This is to say for certain they intended this 'error' for our amusement.

It’s possible AS’s use of the apostrophe was correct, that their mistake was actually in not using a comma: “In all, it’s magnificent stupidity.” Probably not, though.
Really, they make a lot of mistakes. Forgetting commas, mostly, but I believe I’ve seen “it’s” misused more than once, as well.

NO WAY is the adult swim text correct – it’s supposed to read ” In all its magnificent stupidity.” Or change the subject – “In all my magnificent stupidity.” or “in all your magnificent stupidity.” The previous slide (which I retardedly didn’t capture) provided more context, but it’s not really needed. The sentence you proposed, “In all it is magnificent stupidity,” might be grammatically correct, but it reads very strangely, especially when the more obvious traditional construction of “In all its blah blah blah” exists. Trust me, it’s a typo.

It would’ve been incorrect had they used the possessive “its.”

Love it! But the apostrophe in the Adult Swim text is actually correct. That is, if we assume that what they meant was, “In all it is magnificent…” The incorrect possessive would’ve been “its.”

But I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen an error, so keep up the fantastic entertaining work!
