  I have a great MPEG file about learning another language.. I must not be very bright. I cannot figure out how to get it to you.

  I speek a little French and even more Italian and find miss translations there and in english subtitled films.

  I am married to a wonderful Viet Namese family whose verbal skills are bedeviled with artifacts of their native language. My wife speeks French, English, Viet Namese, a little Thia and a little Italian. Boy do I wish I had her skills. The D in Viet Nam is either silent or is pronounced as Zoo. Words like wierd and past tense ed suffer even after a lot of practice.

  I always remember that I speek no eastern languages that is humbeling.

  I teach English as a second language and use a lot of poetry as a vehicle for pronunciation, enunciation and culture understanding.
