Blogging is hard work. Sifting through a few hundreds pics every day is hard work. I’m doing my best, but encouragement helps. Tell your friends, tell me what you like and don’t. Let me know you’re out there. Click on “contact” and give me a piece. Just a taste. So here are some vanity pics for the interested.

more tomorrow, folks.

Hi Jon- Stephan here from the Metreon Lobby (free wi-fi baby!). Looks like you are shooting with a 50mm Lens. More please!

All right, just because I know how distressing it can be to not know whether people like the stuff you’re posting or not. (Even if I would probably find it more distressing if I knew some completely unknown dude on the other side of the globe actually read my blog on a weekly basis.)
Here goes; yours is a great blog. Fascinating. Never been to China, had a good deal of prejudice against the country to be honest, but your blog has been the main thing to turn my thinking around. Your November post on random Manglish was probably the hardest I laughed the entire 2004. And that includes the presidential elections.
Only complaint is that you’ve been slacking on the posting lately. Not NOW, but last four-five months or so.
But congratulations on the weight loss. Inspirational, really.
Now, where the hell’s that coffee-table book of Chinese whimsy you promised? I was serious about ordering that shit.
Good luck, anyhow. Don’t count on me commenting again, I feel creepy somehow, but I’ll continue reading.
Best wishes,
Nick

Jon -
I must say, much of what I’ve seen is freaking hillarious. The “story” http://www.rahoi.com/2006/02/just-taste.php comments are classic. I too know what it’s like to live life as a caucasian in an asian country. My wife is from Jakarta, Indonesia. We were married there 2 years ago, and I’ve visited once since (both times there it’s been a month-long visit). We will be leaving for a full year at the end of march. I just found your blog today, so I look forward to getting a number of good laughs checking it out! Any suggestions on where to start? I will be posting similar experiences while in Indonesia as well, if you are interested.
God bless,
-Gabriel

dood, i’ve been reading through your entire site.
thank goodness this is a slow week at work. my co-workers are about ready to take me to the ER, i’m sure they think that i’m coming down in epileptic seizures and convulsions. several times i’ve had to stop and look at something like cnn to keep any composure whatsoever.
i’ll be posting links to your blog on mine, most definately! i would do it now, but i wanna read more… can’t… stop…
